About my experience: With over 14 years of hotel experience across 3 major brands (Marriott, IHG, Hilton), I have spent my entire career in hotels and hospitality. Prior to working my way up to General Manager, I started at 18 as a Bistro Attendant for the Courtyard by Marriott Detroit-Brighton. Since then, I have worked in and managed a variety of hotels both in select, and full service.
Sub-brands I have worked for include Courtyard by Marriott, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn Express by IHG, and Hampton Inn by Hilton. After years of delivering comp set-leading results directly on the property as a General Manager, I have joined Dellisart where I manage multiple units under a variety of flags.
How I would describe my management style: I pride myself on being a subject matter expert. I make it my mission to understand and research a hotel’s market, its staff, and its owners’ goals so as to develop the most optimal strategy for the best outcome. I believe that each market and brand is unique in its needs, and I utilize my multi-brand experience to target the market segments that make sense for each brand and size hotel. I am never comfortable simply being good enough, I always strive to be an expert in my field.
Why do business with me? I am a competitive individual who uses that drive to push performance within your portfolio. My career across Marriott, IHG, and Hilton, provides me with a large pool of knowledge and experience to draw upon for that I can cater to each brand and hotel. My prior experience as a General Manager allows me to not only recommend changes and strategies to increase revenue, but I have firsthand experience with how these strategies and market segmentations can affect the day-to-day operations and success of a hotel.

Personal: I was born in Mexico City and have lived in 3 different states in the U.S and 3 countries. I grew up in southeast Michigan and have lived here for most of my life. I love the state for its natural beauty and autumn season. While I love learning about different cultures and countries as much of my family lives abroad, I am coziest when at home with my wife, dog, and cat. I consider myself a huge history nerd.
- Food: It’s impossible for me to rank them in any specific order, but if I was forced to list some of my favorites they would be: Brazilian, Bolivian, Japanese, and Mexican. I am also completely content with a good old-fashioned steak grilled on the back porch.
- Hobby: Gardening, Aquaponics, reading (high fantasy/sci-fi), learning about historical figures and eras, and listening to audio books with my wife and pets.
- Artist: The Killers
- TV Show: Narcos, Game of Thrones, and historical documentaries.
- Place: Vern’s Place, Fort Collins, CO
